Post Homemade remedy solutions vs the cosmetic counters

So I am new here and I am reading and going through the various posts. And what I've observed so far is a strong advocation towards homemade remedies as opposed to the cosmetic counter alternative.

I find this interesting, because human behaviour is fascinating and the remedies do work and so do the cosmetic alternatives.

These solutions may work for the everyday consumer which is probably most of the members here... Which is great. However for me it's extremely not very practical. Even my fellow colleagues agree with me because for us, time is a very critical thing in our industry.

Well I've learned one thing here so far, and that is: There are alternatives for everyone.

Back to the human behaviour thing. I find it interesting being a member at this forum because I am so used to being around people who do and talk the make-up line thing including the luxury brands.

And here, I am in a whole new world of homemade remedy solutions with a new group of people that understands it, well... Better than me.

It'll take me awhile to get used to this...

Yup, if time is critical I will go with cosmetic counters, but whenever I have enough time, I will prefer simple homemade solutions for my skin problems because most of them have no side effects at all and are ACTUALLY good for the skin (Now, I know cosmetic counters also may not have any side effect, but its just the matter of my choice whenever I have time )

I think its because alot of peole's skin can work against the luxury products; there are so many damaging ingredients that the simple products often work better. I don't have time to make the homemade solutions as a general but my cleansing system is extremely simple; I tried products such as Clinique and Dermatologica but because I have dehydrated skin they all just made my skin awful.

Even I have shortage of time, and so I prefer cosmetic alternatives. But, I don't mind having a natural homemade facial once in a fortnight
