Alright. I was wondering which type of eye liner would be best for my eyes.
See my eyes [mostly my left] water when ever I put eye make up on/wear glasses. Although they water throughout the day regardless, it happens more when I use eyeliner and such. This is why I rarely ever use it, which is hard for me as I'm a "goth" type person. Anyway, which would be better for my eyes? A pencil, crayon or liquid. I use a crayon type one at the moment. |

It sounds like you have sensitive eyes, so stick to hypoallergenic makeup such as Almay or The Body Shop.
I'm a big fan of cake eyeliner, because it lasts all day and can choose how dark/heavy you want the look to be. Just add water and use a tiny brush! You can make your own with dark eyeshadow if you prefer. Some brands sell an alcohol based sealant to go with the cake, stay right away from it as its the worst thing for sensitive eyes. NEVER paint it on the inside rim, I did that and my eyes were red for days! Put it under the bottom lashes, its much safer. |

i usually use a pencil on my inside rim, because if i try to apply under my bottom lashes, i always end up with a noticable gap. should i be using a liquid eyeliner?

Check it out in the body shop site if there's any store in australia .
When i try to line my bottom lashes (usually i put it in the lower inner rim - there, if it's pencil eyeliner, won't harm you - can't say that of liquid eyeliner), i use an angle that seems to be tracing the inner rim but the bottom of the pencil is actually tracing the outside . Like that, instead of the point tracing the line , which you have to be extremely careful otherwise you'll look weird , the middle of the "tracing area" would be doing the line. Difficult to understand i think. Maybe later i'll put a picture |

Number one use waterproof, and you are going to have to do a little researching where you are that handles beauty products for sensitivity.
Try going to Sephora at this website www.sephora.com and look in there pages I believe they also give you an e-mail address to contact them with your concern they should be able to help you and they do ship International.

They certainly are, I'm a Gold Coaster and they are readily available ![]() Cake eyeliner basically looks like a powder eyeshadow, except you need water to activate it. That's why using a powder eyeshadow will achieve the same affect. Try using the small brush and 'dotting' the eyeliner between your lashes, that should fix the obvious gap. |

If you don't want to see the gap as well try a white or flesh toned shade on your inner rim, it will really open your eyes and you won't see the gap, some people can do it and some can't. Which is too bad cuz a smoky eye looks great with the inner rim lined. I line on the inside too and when I'm not feelin so lazy I do the white thing it really does perk them up, you look different to yourself at first, your not used to the look, but I'm sure you'll look great! Let me know how it goes!~Anige ![]() |
