Default How can I make my hair healthy after dying it?

Over the last few years I've highlighted my hair a lot and it seems really dried out and damaged. I've tried many different shampoo's and products but can't find anything that really works. Any suggestions?

If you are highlighting your hair yourself than make sure you use a dye with a conditioner in it. Have you tried Sunsilk Colour Lock? It is supposed to be quite good.

Myself I would start of with a good trim to get rid of the really dead stuff. Try to give you hair a rest from the lightning, I know easier said than done.
But you could go with one base color and just hightlights till your hair is in better shape.
Let you hair air dry try not to use hot appliance on your hair. IN other words give your hair a vacation from the stresses.

Use a good moisturizing Shampoo and use a heavy duty leave on for 20-30 minutes conditoner, such as K-pak. Hope some of this helps. Let me Know.

yup. Definately use a hydrating hair mask, and look out for hair products especially tailored for coloured, dry or damaged hair.

Redken has a really good moisturizing shampoo, but you have to go to a salon to get it.

I've really been liking Dove shampoos & conditioners lately. They're really moisturizing, and I haven't had any problem with build-up.
One of their newest products is Advanced Color Care, available for Lightened or highlighted hair and another line for darker haircolor. You might want to try the one for lightened or highlighted hair. In this line, they offer not only shampoo & conditioner, but also a Reviving Mask and a Leave In Luminizing Mist. That mask sounds like a product you might find helpful, too.

Here's a link:
