Aveno has always been the best thing I have found for itchy skin.

As a fellow sufferer, I can honestly say see your doctor. If you have severe eczema, only a 'script from the doc will do any real good. The over the counter stuff will work for a very short time, but make things worse in the long run. I know from experience. If it is very mild you make be able to get away with a good skin product, but not the cheap stuff-and their no promise it will really help. As for the scars, again your doc. Some OTC's will aggrivate our condition. Newer treatments can be used under regular skin creams after yoiu wash your face, which is great.
As for the itching, try wiping with a water/vinegar mix. You'll have to play with it to find the ratio that will work best for you. I find and 50/50 ratio works for me, but every one's different. It will sting the 1st few times, but if it still stings after 2 days of application, use more water to dilute it. If you are worried about the odor, 'cause it does smell, apply then wait 30-60 mins before you are around other people. Oh, only use white vinegar not the apple cider kind, the apple cider stuff has sugars that will irritate your skin.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I had to be honest.

Ask your doc about a cream called Topicort. I had a rather large patch of excema just recently on my leg and this stuff completely healed it in three days.

Default Is Face Eczema A Problem For You?

Eczema is often confused with dry skin. In reality it is a skin condition that stems from allergies from substances that are ingested, touched, or inhaled into the body. The body attempts to get rid of the toxins which causes the allergy to manifest as an itchy rash on the skin which if scratched will begin to weep and in some cases bleed. But its a great problem for me cos i hate any such thing o my face or body. if anyone has comments on this or tits remedy i welcome all suggestions.
