When the pimple goes away you say you still have a red mark, is the skin dry in that area or is it inflamed.
You could try a product called Clinaderm, that is made to help fight redness on areas of the face. Get back to me and let me know if the skin around this pimple has gone dry.

I am not sure why, but I have always had the same problem, it takes the redness longer to go away than the people.
What are you treating the blemishes with, and how do you clean your face.
Those are factors (that I have found) that determine how long I have these marks. Get Back to me and I may be able to come up with some suggestions for you.

I have been treating my blemishes with a product that has salystic acid in it. But today i bought some tea tree oil im gunna try out. I use a cinique cleanser (had the toner but was too harsh), have a neutrogena exfoliation cream that u se probably 2 times a week. And have just started using a new moisturizer (Vichy). I wash my face in the morning and before bed (also after exercising).

Hey just a quick note if your skin reacts to certain things, make sure you dilute the dose of tea tree, mix it with just a tad of skin cream and apply just to get your skin used to it. Some people find it a little drying if they use if full strenght, let you skin get used to it.

Also witch hazel is good for skin problems-- it is available in a gel form I think, as well as a face wash, I find it is very good for targeting redness.

Default No more spots before the eyes :)

Hi Lashes

If I can make a late contribution - this excellent product for blemishes may be a great alternative if you still have problems after trying the various advice you have received - the makers of the MiEssence PURIFYING BLEMISH GEL say it is for blemishes/pimples/cuts - (and I know that it is also great for insect bites, though I appreciate that's another matter! ). It is described as:

Quote:
A potent and powerful blend of healing and
calming organic herbs and flowers, including
purifying thyme, healing plantain, clarifying
echinacea and soothing marshmallow. Contains the
potent properties of organic lavender from the
Dandenong Ranges, lemon myrtle from country
Queensland and tea tree from the forests in
northern New South Wales.
So you get the Tea Tree (organic mind you!) benefits along with these soothing, clarifying hebal extracts - and maybe you know how healing lavender oil.

I hope this is some help - if other treatments fail - I have heard others with similar problems swear by it.

Ruth

One word of advise Witch Hazel is a good product but it does have alcohol which can cause problems with overly sensitive skin.
