Blackheads

Ok, this is a little embarrassing, and I'm hoping I'm not the only one that has had this very problem...so, here goes.
I have major blackheads, but wait for it...on my inner thighs. I don't have acne on my face and never hace. So, what the heck is the cause of this. I shower everyday, I have gained weight over the year, but does that sound gross or what?? It's definately not something to be proud of, but can someone give me any tips on how to get rid of them?? or tell me what the causes are???

Its like ingrown hairs they appear when you wear a lot of pants that do not allow your skin or pores to breath, use a good 10 or 12% Glycolic acid in the form of a body lotion or toner every day, and also try to let your skin breath more. Neostrata has good products in both cream and liquid.

Blackheads are the worst. I used to get them all of the time on my face, but I never heard of getting them anywhere else. It's good to know there products out there that can help though.

I would treat them just like i do the ones I have on my face. I use oil to clean my face, it softens the dirt inside the blackheads and helps it come to the surface. Dirt clogs pores, not oil. Sometimes it takes a while for it to work. I know I was putting on make up one day and noticed all these little white plugs oozing out of my nose. That convinced me that I was doing the right thing.

gee, I never wear anything other than pants, especially now that I've put on weight. I won't even wear a skirt. So, thanks for that. I'm not really one to go to doctors for these type of things, and so I am so happy to have found this web site.

Also, try using an acne body wash on the area and exfoliate once a week. Or use a loofa or scrubber in the shower, just be patient, nothing will get rid of them right away, blackheads are a real pain to get rid of. Also, a face mask once a week won't hurt either, I know lots of ladies who use it on their rear and say it works really well.

thanks 1der woman! I will definately try it, especially the face mask. I've never heard of that one..mind you, this is the first time in my life, where i've actually decided to take care of my skin. Might be a little too late, but good to know for the next generation LOL

Try going to Wal-Mart and looking in the isle that they keep all the facial cleansers in, look around, there will be bottles that say mask or masque on them, try neutrogena to start. Find one that says it treats blackheads or oily skin. Just because it says it's for your face dosen't mean it's the only place you can put it!
