Help with acne

I've never used pro active, but for years I tried, I don't know how many different products and nothing helped. So finally I decided to see a doctor. She prescribed antibiotics and a special gel called Finacea that you should applay once a day. She also told me it would be good to combine the antibiotics with birth control pills to get maximum effect. I don't know how serious your acne is but if you suffer from the same kind of acne as I do, the one that leave lots of scars, you should defenitely see a doctor. I hesitated for a long time cause I felt kind of embarressed going to the doctor and didn't really want to realize how serious my acne actually was. I thought it would grow away but it actually became worse as I grow older.

Now my skin is so much better and I can leave the house without tons of make up

Ive used proactiv before. and yes it does work, but your face will look worse before its better, thats just because your skin is trying to get used to the strong ingredients. and even though the pimples themselves may clear...you will have some scarring. and if youd like some tips on effectively covering up those scars, PM me or visit my site =)

I did use proactive a long time ago. I wasn't getting good results and switched to another line that has kept my skin clear for over 5 years now. If your interested let me know and I will tell you about it!

I ran across a homade toner that helps dry out acne.I only use it once a day because its kinda drying.Take 2 tsp acv,add a little tea tree oil(I used 1/8 tsp of tt oil)add water shake,and you have an awsome toner.hth

ProActive dries out your skin and what I learned after dealing with acne for a LONG time is that if you dry your skin, it produces more oil and more acne..not good!

Here's an amazing mask that you can search too..it works miracles!

you'll need:
Aspirin (yes the pills..generic brand is fine)
Water

Crush the pills..I usually put them all in a bag and use my dads hammer..I leave the bag somewhere in my room and when I'm ready to do the mask I'll
put a pinch in a little container..add DROPS of water..literally put your hand under water and sprinkle it into the container. I mix it all with like a q-tip or toothpick and then put it all over my face. It gets really messy so do it right before you shower. Let it dry and rinse it off Hope this helps!<3

it didn't work for me but i know people who love it. my aunt loves it and still uses it today. one of my close friends likes it but she said that the starter kit doesn't have everything she needs so she bought a lot of the other proativ products.

Itried Proactiv for about 6 months and it actually made my acne worse....its different for everyone tho i guess. but now I just take monocycine, wash my face twice a day, and drink lots of water and my skin has been doing great
