Here are some Natural tips for fighting Acne;

1. Current studies have found Vitamin A either purchased or thru veggies will help skin disorders like acne, Start munching on the baby carrots, I eat these like crazy and no longer suffer from cystic acne

2. Wash face very gently only twice a day not too much with... here's the latest A plain all natural soap made with glycerine!

3 Look not to the chemical solutions go for the safe and natural always!

4 Believe it or not, plain lemon juice dabbed on blemishes works like wonders!

I tried proactiv for a month but it didn't work for me. It left my face oily and I was getting more breakouts than what I had before using it. I used "derma cleanse acne system" from zenmed and this helped me in getting rid of my terrible acne and that too within three weeks without any side effects. I wouldn't say proactiv won't work for you but since it contains benzoyl peroxide it doesn't work well with sensitive skin.

Derma Cleanse

Here's a great tip for acne sufferers: Benonite Clay or french green clay is great for acne on face , shoulders and back. Simply place a small amount in your hand or in a bowl, add a little water, use the dampened mixture to dab on problem areas, leave on over night! Messy, Yes, but it does work.

I don't know whether it's still being prescribed, because it has been over 20 years since I took it... But Accutane was the solution if you had severe and persistent acne. I was on it for a few months and the stuff really takes care of excess oil. It has some side effects - especially dry skin. And it's extraordinarily dangerous to unborn children, so you have to be serious about abstinence or birth control while using it.

That said, it did work. After a course of treatment lasting a few months, my acne got down to easily manageable levels.

I'm sure some of the others here have more recent knowledge, though. For all I know the stuff was banned in the 90's...
