Default Dark, rough skin between the thighs

I'm not sure how to describe this, but seven years ago I gave birth, and during the pregnancy I had one of the worst yeast infections imaginable. I know this sounds strange, but I swear it stained my skin, and made it rough between my legs on the thighs. The skin feels like rough elbows in some patches and is much darker than the rest of my body. I was thinking maybe a skin whitener? But I don't want to mess it up and make it look freakish either. Any advice?

Hrrmmm... okay. There's no polite way to ask this, so I'll just ask. Is there any chance the change has more to do with friction from your thighs rubbing together? That sort of chafing can easily result in darkened skin and rough patches. This can come from weight gain, a change in your gait following pregnancy, or even something as prosaic as changing from skirts and dresses to jeans and shorts.

Again, it may be that I am totally off base here and I don't mean to offend. But when I hear "dark rough patches on the insides of thighs", chafing is the culprit that leaps to mind.

Hmmm you know, I never really thought of that, how embarrassing lol. I just noticed it started during pregnancy and figured it was because of how horrendous the yeast infection was. I've lost all the pregnancy weight long ago, thank God, and while I wish my thighs were thinner, they're not huge. But I suppose your theory likely makes more sense. I've never heard of this particular problem. Any ideas if this is the case?
