i have heard pro's and con's. i think if you want to try it go ahead. everyone is different. some say it is great and others say it didn't do anything for them. now i really confused you huh? they have generics of this. don't spend a lot of money.

proactive is the kind of product that gives people fast results but after about 3 months of using it...you stop seeing results. I would recommend that if you do purchase proactive to use it only 4 times a week. Any more is too drying to the skin and actually causes more oil production. Causing more acne breakouts. you can get the same results with a drug store brand. just remember not to use an acne face wash everyday. your skin needs a break so at least 3 times a week wash your face with a gentle cleanser

also proactive solution is very gritty so its like exfoliating your skin everyday. exfoliating should be done 3 times a week

Depends on who uses it. A doctor would suggest a benzoyl peroxide wash, like Proactive--& if proactive works for you, good for you. As for me, I tried it & my skin didn't show a difference, so the doctor prescribed a 5% benzoyl peroxide wash for me.

proactive didn't work on my grandson. i bought him the set. now of course i don't know how he used it or if he used it correctly. (he doesnt read directions) but his face was a mess between 16 to 19. thank god he didn't scar!!!!! he tried other products but he wouldn't go to a doctor to get medicine. i think antibiotics would have worked
